Founded in 1997 by Chairman J. Robert Ward, Land Resource has established itself as a leading developer of second-home residential communities in the Southeast. Land Resource offers its customers a variety of coastal, lake and mountain communities that preserve and showcase the natural beauty of their surroundings. The company was chosen twice to be the host of HGTV’s Dream Home at Cumberland Harbour in St. Mary’s, Ga., and Grey Rock at Lake Lure in Lake Lure, N.C.

Now in its eleventh year, Land Resource continues to offer its customers a relaxed and refined lifestyle set among a majestic natural backdrop. The company is committed to creating communities that preserve the native vegetation and scenic beauty of the land they inhabit. By protecting natural, open space in our communities, we help maintain stream and water quality, as well as provide a habitat for native plants and wildlife. Land Resource believes that maintaining a healthy respect for the land is an integral part of our business and is essential in creating a highly desirable lifestyle for today’s environmentally minded customer.

Land Resource currently has nine communities under development in Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee and West Virginia. The company has completed 10 communities and turned them over to the home owners association.
